Dr. Scraper is a United Methodist minister with thirty-six years of experience in United Methodist churches ranging in size from 8 members to over 8,000 members.  He has served as a District Superintendent in Oklahoma and in a variety of district and conference positions in both the Kansas East Conference and the Oklahoma Conference of the UMC.  He is currently the Senior Pastor of the Nichols Hills UMC.

He has displayed a life-long interest in Christian spiritual formation.  In addition to his B.M.E. from Baker University and his M.Div. from Saint Paul School of Theology, he also holds the M.A.Th.  and D.Min. degrees from Oral Roberts University with a focus in New Testament theology, spiritual formation, and preaching.  He also holds a Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Franklian Psychology. 

 Dr. Scraper holds the Diplomate credential with the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.  This is the highest credential awarded by the Institute.  Dr. Scraper has taught as adjunct faculty at Baker University, Northwestern Oklahoma State University and is on the teaching faculty for the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. 

Dr. Scraper and his wife Wanda have three grown children and nine grandchildren.  He enjoys golf, writing, gardening, chess, reading, playing the cedar flute, flying remote control airplanes, model railroading, and operating ham radios.  He is a member of the Cherokee Nation and enjoys looking into his English/Cherokee/Irish heritage.
