Nichols Hills United Methodist Church Children’s Day Out is a non-profit program that seeks to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive environment where children are supported in their development and respected as individuals. A developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum is provided. Activities are planned that interest children and offer a variety of experiences to foster development in all areas. Teachers read to the children at least once a day, and books are available to children in their classrooms.
Children ages 3 months through preschool may attend up to four days Tuesday through Friday from 9:15 AM until 2:45 PM. Class sizes are small and teacher/child ratios are low – generally better than required by DHS licensing.
The school year session generally follows Oklahoma City Public Schools’ calendar. We offer a summer session that usually begins two weeks after the school year ends and ends two weeks before the school starts in the fall.
You are welcome to stop by to visit our program anytime. We suggest you visit between 9:30 and 11:30 AM in order to observe children engaged in activities.
