Sunday School Classes:
You are invited to attend our Sunday School. Classes are
available for preschoolers through adults, with a nursery
for infants and toddlers. If you have any questions or comments
please contact: Rev. Rebecca Morton, Minister of Christian
Education or Darlene York, Chair, Christian Education
Adult
- Adult Bible Study Class (Room 131)
- This group studies the Bible with the aid of the Adult
Bible Studies quarterly. Membership includes both couples
and singles and ranges in age from middle to older years.
You will find the atmosphere friendly and informal; and
under the leadership of competent teacher, Mike Coffman,
it is a provocative setting for warm fellowship and stimulating
discussion. Visitors are always welcome.
- Open Circle Class (Room 133)
- Currently this class has invited young couples and parents
of young children to join them in studying faith development
and learning more about the beliefs of the church. Teachers
for the summer months will focus on topics of interest
to parents and singles, "Living our Beliefs and Practicing
Our Faith" is the title of the studies for this summer.
This class is particularly interested in supporting the
work of our youth and young adult ministries. They gladly
welcome visitors.
- Kiva Class (Parlor)
- With a variety of speakers, teachers and study, this
class seems to attract a variety of attendees, from 40
to 60+ years of age. The overall program theme would likely
be "faith in action" and reflects the community
involvement, the religious commitment, and the welcoming
diversity of our Kiva class members. We are eager to welcome
newcomers.
- Lectionary Class
- Seasons of the Spirit is the study material our Lectionary
class uses, as well as our youth this season. It incorporates
learning that is based on the seasons of the church and
scripture used in the worship service. It also uses art,
and "service in the community" as a focus for
responding to the word of God as found in scripture.
- Roundtable Class
- A welcome and comfortable place for senior citizens
of all ages. Roundtable provides stimulating discussion
and lecture classes by some of our most capable leaders,
including Rev. Dr. Jerry Perryman, Rev. Neal Baumwart
and Mr. Dick Webber. This class uses the Adult Bible Study
Series of quarterly study books and is a close knit class
that welcomes all who enter.
- Reveille Class
- This class consists primarily of young couples with
children. They study the Bible and other related topics.
Their gifted and animated teacher is Ken Blakley, with
an occasional short-term guest teacher. This is an active,
large, growing class that focuses on relating the Bible
to their everyday lives. Fellowship and a closeness of
the members are very important components of this class.
